I just recently got back into the world of tube frames and purchased an X1 that has a force exhaust system installed. I am looking for something a little quieter and wanted to see what some of you would recommend. I am going to have to buy both a header and muffler so full systems are not out of the question. | ||

The Force system may be worth a few bucks, so don't let it go to cheap. I would say that a SS2R from V&H would work nicely with a stock header. You may loose a bit of performance, but will gain a deeper throatier sound, they are kind of hard to find too. I hear the Torque Hammer sounds much like the V&H...lots of choices. Thanks guys, my brother has a v&h on his. Looking for something with a similar noise level. @6gears my brother is building another one and has dibs on the force system. I talked with Al and he recommends the supertrap | ||

I have the cone but am looking for something a little quieter. I leave for work really early in the morning and want to be polite to the neighbors. They already tolerate the 1125 with a barkers pipe and quiet core. I am looking for something around the same noise level as it with the quiet core. | ||

I don't mind noise as long as it isn't as loud as my 1125 with a barkers. The force system I have on it is louder than it. | ||

I have d&d on my x1 and it is just as loud as my buddies 1125 witha a barker when you rip on it | ||

Is it quieter while cruising? Does he have a quiet core in the barkers? | ||

i am not sure about his barker but i do not think so, and i always where earplugs so i cant tell how much quieter it is when cruising, but it is loud in general, sounds great but very loud. i leave for work at 4am and sometimes take the bike and my neighbors down the road have complained once in the past. who cares though as long as you baby it , it will not be horrible. | ||

Yeah, I leave at 3 am. No one has complained about the 1125 but I do baby it in the mornings. I think I am going to go with the d&d full system. What finish does yours have and how is it holding up? | ||

We've got a stock system for a 99 X1, header and muffler. no hangers though. In Glendale CA Make some ridiculously low offer and come and get it. | ||

I only have the muffler with a x1w ceramic header, the muffler is black and had it on for two years and is in greT shape | ||
