Finally got my S2T running with a CV carb instead of the Quicksilver. Had to get new throttle, choke cables + the choke cable guide. Thought I would have to order the obsolete stand off bolt for the air cleaner , but found I could do a light tap into the carb mount and it worked fine. Bike started right up with the choke and settles into a nice idle, the idle adjust cable makes the adjustment easy from the saddle! Road operation seems just fine, acceleration is strong and it just works. Should have done this a long time ago. |

Save that Quicksilver - You may need it someday. I'm pretty sure you could use it to fend off a pissed off dog, or maybe a burgler. Practice your pitching aim with it. Other that for that, it's pretty much just a worthless piece of crap, save for salvage cost of aluminum. Just my opinion - the one on my wife's S2T came within about a half a inch of burning her bike to the ground. |

Yes, it is worthless, mine flooded out several times. Its a monument to a mans inability to design a Mikuni. I see them on Ebay though, $100. |
