Im new to buell and Harley engines really... I have a 2000 buell with a Vince and Hines exhaust and air intake... Im looking to get more performance. I love the sounds of a Harley and the louder the better. I was looking into cams but I cant fine much information... I don't really want to do a big bore kit bc a grand is out of my price range... any suggestions?! |

Look for cams for a Sportster year 2000 and up. Some mfgs list them as 91 and up but there is a change in the #2 cam drive gear all others being the same. http://www.andrewsproducts.com/motorcycle-parts/ca talog This is andrews list others will be similar |

I found a set of n6 andrews cams off ebay for 175 bucks, surfaced .055 off the heads, opened up the ports a little, made a new muffler, changed the carb a bit and it made 103hp and 78 ft lbs on the dyno with stock pushrods and stock pistons. (220 lbs on the compression gauge) 20 hp (about) for 175 bucks. thats cheap (Message edited by nitrous_jim on February 19, 2013) |
