So I got this buell a few years ago. When I first got it it had only 3,000 miles on it. It was also grey. I tore it all down, and decided it needed to be a custom shade of red that my dad and I mixed up. I am stationed overseas right now and my dad has custody of my baby, but in a few months Ill be back, and I am thinking of going to clip ons and doing some other tweeks.

Very nice! but...I'd black-out the derby cover, and maybe the swingarm, and paint the hugger to match the red color. If you put on clip-ons, might want to move the pegs back, either rear-sets or relocators |

Nice, tail is well done, I didn't even notice that the rear section was cut out. Good job. |

I wish you would have let me buy the Volcano Grey tank from you that's super rare these days and traded you a tank that had red paint already.... But, I like it. Go Navy... MA2 |

I picked up a spare tail section and have been toying with cutting it down just as you have done. Do you have any pics of the other side? Did you relocate anything that was covered by the tail section sides? Thanks. |

Looks sharp! LOVE the sound of that Borla slip-on, it is my absolute favorite pipe on a Buell, though I have no idea of the power it produces. A local Buell rider/buddy of mine had one on his bike and it sounded amazing, looked sweet, and he was happy with the performance. Skip the clip-ons, they will suck with the manta tank. They get in the way, seriously bung up your turning radius and are just too low and awkward when mounted under the top triple clamp. The crossroads "clip-on" bars are good though, and you can get them for your M2 or get the S1W bars if you think you might someday get an inverted front end. They (crossroads) work great on the track and for canyon strafing, getting you low but not in a pretzled up, tortured sort of way. The tail looks real nice, very clean. If you wish to add more black to the bike you could also find a take off crinkle black primary cover, rather than the black derby cover... just as another option. Thanks for your service!!! |

The only thing that bike needs to suit me is gas in the tank and a day off. Well done. |

Or a carbon-fiber derby cover, like the one at asb! It would bring out the Borla. |

Nice ride. You and your Dad should be proud. I know your Dad is! I agree with Bugby, you will love the crossroads, they look great, handle well, and don't leave your arms numb at the end of the day. I run them on my 98 S1W. Good luck and thanks for your service! |

Very nice... I like the color and the rear plastic trim job. In fact, that's what I've been thinking about doing to mine. I agree on the Crossroad bars, the look better. I also like inverted front ends. Check out some pics of them when you get time. It might be worth doing it all at one shot. |

Sorry that it has been so long since I have been on here guys, and thanks for all of the comments. I am going to looking into those crossroads bars and am also looking at doing an inverted front end. Any ideas on websites and what front ends to run. I'm newer to Buells. Any information will help me explore and give you all some more things to look at. I have been looking at carbon fiber products for the front and rear and maybe the lower cowl that isn't on there, but I am not sure what I want to do as of yet. |

Asb is a source for carbon or ebay they appear on there from time to time. Crossroads bars are a diffrent story they are rare you must have mant tank bars the s1 will not fit. |

S1 or X1 front ends will work, but you must have the upper and lower clamps. There are several on eBay with legs and clamps... |
