Today was the first day I could work on this all day, and it was a good day. Tomorrow I will hopefully get the frame on it. |

Yes I did think about it, I bought a catch can and will try to make due with how it is. I made soooo many upgrades and got in deep,I just want to ride it a while. I polished and Nickel plated the stock covers. Frame on. And someday soon I am going to ride this puppy.

Got a couple of pics of the oil lines I made up. New wheel bearings are installed and forks rebuilt, next is fuell lines and putting more parts back on. Hope to get it fired up soon...I may have to redo the front oil line with an angle setup to clear for the shock res. |

I am trying to hurry without hurrying :-) I now have it running and am waiting on a couple more parts. Got to go through and recheck everything. Here is a shot of what it looks like now, still got to powder coat the rear master and a couple small things. picked up a muffler hanger today but worked 12 hrs.and will have to wait till tomorrow to do some more work on it. Here is me wishing I was riding it. I appreciate all the help and the kind words by the folks here, I am glad I found this place. Stay tuned I will get some finished pics, OUTSIDE the garage. Mark |

Looks better and better, it's really cool to see all the work that goes into a clean restoration with longevity upgrades like those oil lines (gorgeous). I checked my M2 parts book tonight (I'm stilling wondering about those tie-bars), it shows three tie-bars... ...I checked my X1 parts book after that, it shows four tie-bars with the "extra" being the one that bolts to the upper left side of the motor mount... ...well, just out of curiosity I took a peek into my XB parts book, since I have one, they only use three (non adjustable) tie-bars... just throwing that out there. So if it turns out that you've got an extra, I know this guy (me) who'd prolly buy it, depending on how much nickel plated tie-bars are selling for these days. |

Really nice work, Mark, Maybe run into you sometime when we are through. Some of the Phoenix area guys meet at Chases' on the first Monday. Ride sometimes on Saturdays too. Good bunch of guys. See you out there. Larry |
