I had my XB's injectors rebuilt the other day, $35 each from a local company (Injector Tech) and they were done the same day and got new filter screens and o-rings, all carbon removed and the things looked brand new.

The local O'Reilly has been really helpful finding parts but couldn't source a cross ref on the XB injectors, I know they are probably different than the X1's

Anyway, they're working great now, took the bike out for an hour, then another short ride for my daughter before the snow came. Fueling is the best it's been since I bought it @5,000 miles. Now there's no surging or stumbling at 3K rpm's.

I don't know what the new one's cost but if they are hard to source consider having your's professionally refurbished but a good shop, they can make them work unless they are just totally used up.

+1 having them serviced by a pro is 1/3 - 1/4 the price of new ones. I would not reccomend trying to do it yourself. I took apart some to see how they worked and if they could be cleaned. They can be but you need the right equipment\tools to do it right. Most injectors are made to make millions of pulses and 9 times out of 10 outlast any motor. Problem is is the fuel impurity's make them plug up and die!

Nice on the last ride mike. SHHhhh Don't tell my orthopedic specialist DR i was out riding my new Vstrom DL1000! I can't wait for a new EBR bike under 45k!

Buellistic, where did you get that info on PT Cruiser injectors and are they same flow?

As usual they never give part numbers ...

If they are a retro fit they would have the right flow ...

As you know "i" like to get everything as perfect as possible so even a new injector would be flow tested ...

The research I did came to Sagem as the manufacturer of these - 1999 X1 at least. Most of what I find on them is from Europe - Citroen / Peugeot / Renault / Triumph.

I could never match them up to an exact part number and gave up looking.

I finally sent them to RC Engineering to clean and balance them. I can try to pull out the paperwork and see if I can get the flow info.

PLEASE post the FLOW "INFO" if you can find it ...

The TUBE FRAME AREA needs to be set up like the THUMPER SIDE because when the "INFO" goes to never never land it is sometimes hard to pull it back up ...
