I can not find a supplier any where. Can these diodes be bypassed? They are for safety interlock switches right ?

Is your current one really dead?

Most "big" diodes will do. The big switching ones they have at radio shack would work fine.

For polarity, ->|- is the symbol, and the white line on the black doide will be on one side, the "arrow" would point to that line.

If it is handling less than 30 watts of load on a 12 volt system, this should work fine:

Basically, walk into the store and get the biggest silicone switching diode they stock. Do NOT get a zeener.

Trim the leads and stuff it right on the slot if you are in a pinch, but better to solder it onto an old fuse or the old diode "plug" thingy.

Found a supplier just not in the USA. Durite 0-372-00 diode mini blade. Never thought it would be such a pain getting a diode.

Your diodes are probably not dead.
I vote kickstand switch.
Those thinks are just great for collecting water.
When I ripped mine off after jumping the wire, water poured out of it and it hadn't rained in over a week.

Worthless "safety feature".

One other fun area of "my #@%# bike won't start" is the fuse box itself.
take each fuse out, clean the contacts and zap it with a little WD40.
On my X1, the seat covered the fuses and I thought it was kept dry.
WRONG.
corrosion creeps in from underneath.

Don't spend money unless you have to!

a typical diode 1N4001 will carry one amp of current at 50 max reverse volts ( Peak Inverse Voltage, or PIV ) No real magic in diodes, and my kickstand switch is bypassed ; )
