Gents I bought a set of pit bull stands on flea bay for my S2's Turns out they were for an S3 ;( but there is no hole under the triple tree to accept the pin. Anyone have the factory lift ( or another one) that can shoot me a pic to c how it lifts ??? I do have a lift table but these could be usefull when I have another bike on the lift. Or without changing the trees could I just change the bolt??? IDK?? Any help or advise?? Thanks Ride safe |

Here is what I found looking around with google. This comes from the 2002 factory shop manual. Also I found a service bulletin which lists the lift as part number B-41395 for the stand and part number B-42577 for the lift adapter. I have attached the picture from the bulletin (which shows an M2), it looks like is passes under the front isolator. Me: I just use an engine hoist.. PM me if you want better copies emailed to you. Probably not much help, but it is a start Good Luck!

Chris, both my S2 and S2T have holes in the lower tripple tree.I got a Pit Bull front stand that was set up with a Ducati pin and had to buy a different(smaller?)pin to work with the Buells.Your S2 doesn't have a hole? |

Your S2 doesn't have a hole? It's got me scratching my head too. I guess it might be possible that the billet triple clamps used on early S2's used a different steering stem (without the hole at the bottom), but I this is not a data point I recall. And unfortunately the set of billet S2 triples I got (with my S2 dual front brake set up) are too far buried for me to verify. Head scratching continues... 1313 |

My S2 has the billet clamp and while there is a hole in the stem it is quite small, less than 1/4" iirc. I made a bracket that goes under the lower clamp and fits my home made front lift. PM me if you want some pic's of my set up. Mike |

OK, Just got back from my shop & looked at the triple tree & just like Bigslug says the hole is LESS than 1/4 in. Waiting for Mikes pix to see what he did & than I guess ill have to get the Mig welder out Buellistic.. thought of that but i think it might compromise the integrity Field product improvement is probably going to take place Thanks KC Buelish there is a hole but its a TINY one, do you have the orig trees?? what size pin did you get?? 1313 .. both my bikes 320 & 349 have 10/94 build dates would you consider these "early builds" ? Thanks Guys, Ride safe |

Chris,i do have the original trees on both bikes.I just measured the pin which is known as a #7 pin and it measures 9/16" or 14mm.A whole heck of a lot larger than "LESS than 1/4 in" |
