I was wondering if the nitrogen resevior on the shock is supposed to TWIST, when i hold the top where the line runs into it and hold the canister i can twist the canister round and round, is that normal??? thanks |

The reason that i ask is cause i just got one from ebay for $100 and it arrived covered in oil and the loose canister outer shell, i believe the oil was motor oil so i washed it, but how can i tell if the shock is good?? |

Line at both ends should be tight if not then the gas pressure has leaked off. |

the line is tight at both ends, but the aluminum outer shell seems to be loose. I am wondering if i should just send the damn thing back. |

Yeah, if the reservoir has no pressure and can be spun around it's blown. |

i contacted the seller, and he said My dismantler had accedintially removed the hose that attatched to the shock from the reseviour so it leaked then ok so he sold me a bum shock and told me it was a good one, a plus though he is taking it back and giving me a refund. |

That oil is under 150 psi. Must've made a real mess! I bet his "dismantler" was covered in oil. |
