My KT pipe after years of serving me well, cracked really bad near the collector. I plan on taking it to a welder to see if can be repaired. If it cant be fixed, I'm looking into options. I still have my original 2.5" stainless steel header, and mufflers for tubers are getting hard to find. I was curious to see if any of you guys had come up with any other cool alternatives to what's already out there. I did a quick search on Summit Racing, and saw quite a bit of mufflers that could possibly work on my S1W. So, show me what ya got. Winters on its way. I need a project. |

Thanks for the offer S1owner. I already haves stock muffler as well. Just trying to shed some weight and make more power than the stock muffler. Albert, nice mufflers. One looks like a supertrapp. What are the other two? |

gawwwhh... I miss my KT systems pipe... =[ It was so nice. If only it was stainless instead of mild steel. Mine cracked about 30 times before I gave up on it. |

Race header with Supertrapp 4" external disc, ala the first race kits. The end of it currently looks like this: I cut the shroud off the back of the muffler and made my own endcap. |

mikey mufflers are $300 ish, its the shipping for one that'll kill you though, better if a few people ordered or a full headers and muffler |

Yeah, they'll break when you sit on 'em... Here's what I'm using:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUP-443-2517/?rtype=10 Had a mounting flange welded on and hung it on the stock Z-bracket. You can get them in 2" or 2.5" inlet, stainless or mild steel. rt |

Want to get the D&D Full system for my X1 as well. Was planning on getting the headers ceramic coated silver in/out and the muffler ceramic coated black on the outside like I did on my XB D&D. Question, is the the D&D plaque on the muffler riveted on? If so, I think I could drill out the rivets prior to coating and then just rivet back on. Thanks, Nels |
