need ing. and starter relay. ( same ? ) and ing. and starter diode's ( same ? ) and which way do the diodes need to be installed. (does it matter ? ) |

Diodes have to be fitted the correct way if you have a manual it should have a photo showing them fitted |

you can get an identical relay at most auto parts stores and add the diode yourself if they don't have one included. The diode goes on terminals 85 and 86 ( either can be pos or neg) from neg to pos with the diode band towards the POS. This gives the electrical spike from the collapsing magnetic field a short to run thru instead of hitting the rest of your electrical system. |

I thought he was talking about the diodes as fitted in the X1 fusebox that are part of the Clutch/sidestand/start circuit? |
