I've been considering replacing my rear shock, so I took a look at the options. The two most popular option seem to be the Penske and the Works Performance. From what I've read, both are good, but people seem to like the Penske more. I found a few more options that I couldn't find any feedback about. I'd like to throw them out there and see if any of you guys have any suggestions/thoughts/opinions. It's worth mentioning that I did find out a little about some of these in the kv, but the posts are very old. I just want to make sure that A) the information is still relavent considering it's age (use) and how product offerings changed over time, as well as B) that perhaps I could get some up-to-date responses from people here. Twin Motorcycles: Buell M2,X1,S1,S2,S3 rear shock 38cm, 14,9 inch HYPERPRO COMPRESSION TYPE SHOCK ABSORBER WITH LINK SYSTEM FOR BUELL MODELS Wilbers (Scroll to "With type 631 Ø 36 mm for Buell") Barring cost, is there a generally accepted consensus of performance ranking for these shocks? In others, from best to worst, how do these shocks compare? Thanks. |

Is the Hyperpro shock available? There's no price, or option to add it to the cart. |

@Foximus - You still owe me intake details and fork conversion details... please?! So it's made by "Team Plain" in Japan. They're website is outdated and has no information on the S1. The headers look great (almost like three pipes?) but just shifts weight higher. The oil tank and shock linkage are great, but I'm not so keen on the swing arm. Ohlins [racing?] forks and AP calipers are nice too, but a dual system increases unsprung weight and rotational mass for with questionable increase in braking utility. |
