Yeah, not sure what he is getting at either Albert...Looks good. Is that front tube a tad shorter between the top two bends compared to the Buell one? Ever make an alternative for the race header shoe? |

That looks nice have you tried a trial fit? Hows it bolt up? You ever think of making it a 3 pc with springs? (Message edited by S1owner on September 30, 2012) |

Well... mostly I meant getting the bends more concentric... |

i still don't understand? i was asked to make a replica of the race system, which i did, i can't get it bent in one so it has some welds i could make one to my own spec as well |

Are both these headers made by you? Or is one factory, and the other one you made? Really nice, I love the color too. |

Is it possible to make an S1 header like the X1? I do notice the amount of heat difference on the right leg. With the X1 style routing, the leg is usually medium rare but well done with the S1 style routing. |

The X1 frame has a higher tube, allowing the header to go under it. It would be one hell of a kink to get that to work on an S1. Albert, I think the post by Foximus referred to what appears to be a difference in bends/path for the front primary pipe, and it's "C" shaped bend. the factory one (left?) has a "level" C, where yours appears to be angled downwards with a shorter top segment. If they weren't side by side I doubt anyone would tell. As long as they both clear the air filter - did you fit with a stock breadbox and a hamcan? Or just one or the other? Welds just make it look more like an OEM S2 header |

looks to me like the angle of the picture is what's causing the confusion..... |

jim, unfortunately it's not mine, and it had a crack, hence the request to build a replacement |

Ah... maybe it is just the angle of the photo. But yes the top C seems to be a tight bend and the top, and then sloping to a increasing radius around the exit. |

foximus, i see where your'e coming from now, the 170 deg bend is a concentric radius, it looks odd in the photo |

I wish you lived in the US. My KT pipe just cracked nearly in half and I'm looking for some one to make me a copy of it. |

Looks nice. I like the welds, they give the pipe a mechanical look, which I just love. Nice work! |
