So i have been slowly rebuilding my m2 and making changes to it. I was wondering how do you polish the swing arm and all the other grayish metal on the bike like the case and some of the brackets

That's where I got hooked up.

Don't skimp in a buffer if you want a professional looking job and don't want to spend a day on each part.

Good luck. Have fun and wear all the protective gear including a mask. After you see your clothes and gloves you will understand what you are breathing can't be good.

I would also recommend solid footware and a stand vs using one of these on a bench. It WILL snatch the part out of your hand and shoot it to the floor a few times.

You can of course do everything by hand with sandpaper without a buff, but not if you value your time invested vs. results.

Also, if your parts already have a clear powdercoat, try Permatex gasket remover to make the PC bubble, making it easier to get off. I used a lot of Caswell Plating products to do some aluminum polishing and it works well. See the thread below on polishing a swingarm.
