saw a Givi on ebay a while back for $70 like mine, already painted yellow. Not gonna sing too many praises about a mini-fairing, but it does take some pressure off my chest |

The Cyclone, S1 and X1 bikini fairings are all different. The Cyclone fairing the raised portion is in the center of the fairing, on the S1 it is on right side and the X1 is on the left side. The cluster shape determined where the raised section would be. |

M2 tach and speedo are the same size and will fit right in an X1 dash. I've run that set-up on my bike since I bought it in '01, I dig the asymmetrical look of the Lightning dash and flyscreen. The X1 screen is a little taller than the M2, so I also noticed that I wasn't catching the wind blast in my gut when I switched those parts out. |

sweet the next question is then how hard will it be to change my m2 over to having a tach as it didnt come with that option |

It's pretty easy, the stock M2 tach comes with three or four wires, with the metal pins crimped on, you just follow the speedo wires down, match up the colors on the harness under your tank on the receiving side and push the pins into the empty slots on the speedo side of the harness. I may have posted pictures up on badweb at some point, if not I've got some on a drive at home I can send... Now that I think on it I believe there is a ground, light, and signal wire is all for the M2. The X1 tach will also work, you'll have a spare wire for the fuel light and engine light, you would just tuck the ends back up inside the wire sheath to put them away and keep your wiring clean. |
