It's a little Koso "GP" unit. It features max RPM recall and has a couple tiny shift lights. Here's a better look at it: That was actually the last time the bike was clean

This thread reminds me of why I fell in love with the first S1s back in the mid 90s. Couldn't afford one at the time, but had every modification planned out on how to customize mine when I got it. When I finally got my Buell last year, I got an S3T. Now I want an S1. I look at the S1 as a true American Bad Ass. Looks and power; what more could you want? Harley had the looks, the rice rockets had the power and handling. IMO the S1 was the first bike to blend the two oh so well. Beautiful bike!
