The idle speed increases from about 800 to maybe 1400 when it gets warm. If this an air leak or normal for the oil heating up ? | ||

Set the idle to 1050 when the engine is hot, and see if it holds the setting. Sounds like someone set the idle cold. If it holds the setting, you're good to go. If it doesn't hold a consistent idle speed, you can start chasing issues - clogged jet, clogged passages, leaking intake seals, etc. | ||

Yeah, I set it cold after going thru the carb and putting a new carb to manifold gasket on it just because I had one. Ill give your advise a try, thanks |
