Clear silicone, push it in and smooth with your finger |

the most of the times these screw heads are stripped. I had a couple of times a good result with a hammer and small stomp punch and a center punch. some small taps straight on the head with the stomp punch and then with the center punch on the screw head edge in the counter clockwise direction are enough if you are lucky! |

Bummer! I hate those screws. I think the problem is that they are JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard), so our standard tips do not fit correctly. I've decided that from now on that I will just replace them on all bikes I buy. I use the correct size metric thread countersink screws sourced from Ace hardware or similar type store. This way the cruciform (phillips cross) is the correct size for the screwdrivers I own. I've already done it to all my bikes and quads. I've had to drill and ez out them on multiple bikes and quads. Same goes for the screws on the Keihin carbs. I replace those with Socket Head Cap Screws, so I can use hex keys to remove them (don't forget the anti-seize). |

I would say use a Grabbit from now on, they work very well for stripped screws |

I just use a dremel and the smallest cutting wheel and notch the screw and use a Flathead screw driver. If not i use an impact driver to break em loose. |

I've changed the glass before. Finding a replacement trim ring will be the main problem. I had the glass cut at a framing place. But, if you want to keep the original mileage, it can be done. |

I think you guys are using snap-on screwdrivers. In my experience these are useless for any motorcycle. Try some German tools, you will wonder how you did without them. Btw I am a huge fan of snap-on. Just not those Phillips heads. |

No not like the Xb the mileage is in the speedo If you have not had one of these out before do not remove all of the wiring screws from the back at once bad things happen.... |
