I want to swap my factory tail light for an LED one, is there anyone who manufactures an LED replacement tail light. If not, what have you guys who have swapped yours used (and pics if possible please) Also, does anyone know what bulbs the speedo/instrument cluster uses, I am going to replace it with an LED one as well Thanks, Spencer |

There are multiple gauge bulbs but I don't remember the "name" offhand. I built my own LED tailight in the S1W, using a red LED strip for the running light (not super-bright but good for a taillight), and a Whelen TIR3 police light for the brake light (BRIGHT). I simply attached these units inside the stock lens. You can get some nice replacement LED bulbs now, though, that will work well. I want to say it's an 1157? |

I put a LED version of the 1157 from superbrightleds.com, and boy was I disappointed. Not near as bright as the incandescent. Oh well, it was only five bucks. If I find something circuit-board based that's better I'll go that route The mirrors are M10 x1.25, I've been looking for a M10 x 1.25 x 10 hex bolt to put in the holes, mine have been removed. |

You know most of the HD shop have the little snap in plugs(chrome and black) for those holes. |

Ducati Monster LED taillights are available...98-02 IIRC. They are the same exact fit on a tuber. |

I lied it's 1994-2007 or so that it fits. http://www.amazon.com/1994-2008-Ducati-Monster-Int egrated-Sequential/dp/B004KAYUL6 That's the one I run. Some douche on eBay (shall remain nameless) bought up all of the $32.99 ones and sold them for profit to Buell enthusiasts on eBay (marketed them as Buell pieces for over 200% profit. Looks like he made his coin, hasn't been selling on eBay anymore. There are still some smoked versions for $32.99 here: http://www.amazon.com/1994-2007-TailLights-Integra ted-Indicators-Motorcycle/dp/B004PC5GKS |

Found another one, these were the "best" way back when...But, not so much anymore with the way the new LED's have come. Problem is that no one really makes any for us anymore. This is not integrated with turn signals. https://store.58cycle.com/product_p/tail%20light%2 0duc%20mon6%20led.htm And integrated: http://www.monsterparts.com/pc/TLDMON/Electrical/T LDMON.html I might try that LightWerks one (2nd link in this post) for my next one... |

The monster tail light is the same shape, size, and guts; however, you might find that the lens does not have the clear window in the bottom to illuminate the license plate. |

this could be a cheap alternative . . . http://www.ebay.com/itm/LED-Tail-Signal-Light-for- Yamaha-YZF-R6-03-04-05-YZF-R6S-03-08-04-05-06-07-/ 140714033589?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash =item20c335c1b5&vxp=mtr might take some tinkering, but with that many elements it HAS to be bright, and worth the effort |
