Took a 300 mile ride with a good buddy today. I was on my 99 X1 and he was on his 03 XB9. We rode Route 450 from Loogootee IN on up to Bedford, then hit 58 up to Heltonville, then 446 to Bloomington. INCREDIBLE curves and awesome elevation changes! I no longer have ANY chicken stripe left on the rear tire and we are planning on going back to hit 135 off of 446 up to little Nashville. If anybody is reasonably close you MUST ride these roads! http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&bav=on.2,or.r_gc .r_pw.r_qf.&biw=1423&bih=764&wrapid=tlif1344127307 61510&q=Route+450,+Bedford,+Indiana&um=1&ie=UTF-8& hq=&hnear=0x886c234d19dadb73:0xe0d19c7848273251,In diana+450,+Bedford,+IN&gl=us&sa=X&ei=h8EdUKTIH9H8y AGpx4DQAg&ved=0CGUQtgM |

I have ridden . Literally every where it is possible to Ride a motorcycle. Even across Canada. Labrador.Newfoundland. Nova Scotia. South America. Baja. Transcontinental. Alaska. All on BMWs . Even did over 39,000 miles in 2 years on an 1150 adventure. And 27k in 9 months on a k 1200s. Then I got married and had children. Never even considered selling my s1.Obviusly it has a lot less accutrements. But every time it fires up on 1 piston stroke and a simple 10 mile commute brings me hapiness no other motorcycle could possibly aspire to. I wholeheartedly love it. As anti_Harley anti motorco mindset I am , I have to admit ,there is something to their engine that satisfies like no other. |

LOL. I have not had time to make it back over there yet. Trying to get ready to harvest our pathetic crops has been killing all my time. |
