I am still troubleshooting the problem I have with my bike wanting to die on hot days, especially if it has sat for 10-30 minutes after riding in the heat. I moved the IAT behind the fairing, checked the head temp sensor, and tried another ECM over the weekend, all to no avail. After cooling off for a couple hours it will run fine again. These are similar symptoms to those it displayed 10 years ago before the fuel pump failed. At that time I was able to buy a new fuel pump only at my Harley dealer for about $100, but now all I can find are assemblies including the regulator and sock for $360! Is there an automotive fuel pump that will replace the stock unit? I will borrow a fuel pressure tester from Autozone this weekend, but I sure hope I can get a lower priced replacement pump if needed. |

For V-6 or V-8 Mustang? Autozone shows two different part numbers. |

Thank you! I'll get hold of a fuel pressure this weekend and see if it looks like it may be the problem. |
