Ok I bought a 2000 M2 about 1 year ago....all the suddenly today at nuetral and at idol all the dash lights light up for some reason. Not sure what's going on and that's my question. One important point to this question is that I understand that a 2000 M2 didn't come with a tach and a speedometer but I guess one of the 2 previous owners felt it was nessessary. Why are all these lights now dimly glowing at idol? Of course the most important one the one that is needed is glowing the brightest but I don't want all the others glowing too...any ideas??? |

It came with a speedo, but no tach. There was a factory kit to add one. Have you pulled the dash to check the wiring? |

Diode number 1 in your relay block. It goes to all of the indicator lights. Make sure it wasn't installed backwards. Also you can try switching the two diodes as they are the same but for different things. Maybe I'm completely wrong because I more or less just looking at the electrical diagram in the FSM and guessing a little but it won't hurt to switch the two. Of course if one is bad you will just move one problem to whatever else the other diode is on. Someone with good electrical system knowledge please chime in and set me straight. |
