I was reading a post about lowering an M2 Cyclone by using the M2L seat and shock. Each giving an inch of lowering. Is a similar shock available for an S1? If so, can anyone recommend a part number and source? thanks |

Doesn't the shock from a M2L fit provided you have the correct forward mount. The seat I doubt it there isn't anything to a S1 seat how could you get less. I'm also thinking the front forks on a M2L are shorter than the regular forks. I may be wrong been before. |

You can modify the front shock mount to lower the bike. Beware altering this changes the geometry and this changes the handling! |

I think I will can the short shock idea. I had an upholsterer remove some seat foam from my EBR-1125R and got satisfactory results. I think 1" of foam off the S1 seat will do the trick and leave the bike geometry intact... (Message edited by gsmalz on April 22, 2012) |

Sometimes a good upholsterer can surprise you. I didn't think there was much to gain by trimming the seat on my EBR1125, but a local guy trimmed the padding and recovered the seat with the same vinyl. I went from one footing it at a grid, to both feet touching the ground. BTW, I looked at Ratbuell's profile...that's a fine collection of bikes. Also, a heads up, my 1125 which is serial #EBR0001 is going to be up for sale in about a month. At 60 the wife says no more race tracks. The bike is not street legal, so I figure it's time to sell it. |
