I saw it. It looks really nice, but I am not sold on the front mount. I would think it would cause to much vibration in the middle leading to broken exhaust studs in the heads and/or the rivets on the front of the can rattling loose. It is just my opinion though based on past experiance, no facts.

Please send me a picture on a previous system that you are talking about. Let me then first judge based on that picture from you, if we talk appels and appels..

I can not talk about something that is not based on pictures.

I placed pics in a thread for you back in February http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=47623&post=2183842#POST2183842

But here they are again

When used with the Buell "Y" mount this elbow is great. On your pipe by mounting the front on 2 springs the center of the exhaust system can vibrate any way it likes. The pipe I have may be over built, but that sure beats replacing broken exhaust studs.

I also cannot tell for sure but i believe that another weak point will be the rivets holding on the end cap at the front of your exhaust can. Since the springs do not hold that area in place firmly those rivets are the first thing that will vibrate loose and potentially break. the reason I am concerned is that i know of another member here that had an exhaust system break at that point. When it dropped it worked like a pole vaulting stick and threw him from his bike.

AGAIN I STRESS THESE ARE ONLY MY OPINIONS.

Install a piece of safety wire (multi strand steel with crimped on eyes) between each end of the spring. The wire can be longer than the spring. If there is a failure this will prevent a dangerous situation.
