Pictured - installed shift lever on a 2001 X1. I bought the shorter one because I wanted to have that little dogleg in the very end to keep the end of the shifter from contacting the clutch cable on every downshift movement. The shorter one is stock from an S3T (I have an S3T) - I think it's going to be too short and will cause the shift effort to go WAAAAAY UP.... Does anyone know if there was an update X1 shift lever (longer than S3T)released that had the dogleg in the end? I guess I'm looking for a lever that would be a combination / hybrid of the 2. |

The X1 peg location is 1-3/4" higher and 2" rearset compared to the the S3,I myself prefer the boomerang style. |

Would that be a 2001-2002 M2? I prefer the later version instead of the boomerang style as it seems a lot tighter and more positive (for me). |
