2000 x1 race ecm, force exhaust, intake. So today i replaced the intake seals with james gaskets, got everything back together took it out and it ran awesome until about the last 20 miles. As soon as you got near the closed loop 2500-3500 it was like it was outta gas. but if you just held the throttle wide open it would eventually go. Also it would only rev to about 5000 and stop. The bad had sat for years before i bought it and it only has 6500mi on it now. AFV shot through the roof at 141. Is there something else besides intake seals that causes a lean condition? I also noticed at the bottom of the back of actual intak filter there is a hole for like a hose but nothing there? the only codes it shows in history are o2 sensor always lean o2 sensor inactive or open fuel pump short to ground or open. |

On my '00 X-1,i put on a Forcewinder intake and on the backside(closest to the "elbow")goes the idle air temp sensor.Just pops into it.It also has another hole for the breather pipe from the heads. If you do/did the XB rocker cover swap(as i did),you'd just plug that hole.I hope this helps you out.LT |

Is the fuel pump priming the same when you first turn it on? |

Its a rear head temp sensor and or o2 sensor going bad combination. check them first. Also a lot of people disconnect things on the bike with the battery connected. This will throw an immediate code of what you just un-pluged then you will get a false problem. Reset the codes and see if it happens again. I would also do a tps reset once you fix the problem. |
