I'm looking at putting stripes on my S1, like the stripe X1's. But I want two different sized strips offset to the right side. What I'm not sure is what with should they be. I was thinking 2" and 1". I don't have any of the bodywork, it's off at the painters. Does anyone have some input and/or pic's? Thanks Matt |

I suggest that the space between the stripes is the same width as the narrower stripe. So a 2" stripe, a 1" space, and a 1" stripe. Seems kind of wide for an offset stripe, assuming you want it to stay on one side of the fairing, and not cross the center. Have you considered a narrower stripe? Maybe a 1.5", and a 3/4"? Or perhaps the narrow stripe in the center, and the wider one to one side. 2" and 1 " might look good that way. |

I have a Blue racing stripe X1 tank cover. The wide stripe is 3 3/8" and the narrow stripe is 1/4". |

The front fender is where the size needs the be right or it will look all wrong. I have a junk fender and it looks like a 1/2" wide center stripe and a 1" or 1.25" offset stripe. But I think the will be too small for the rest of the bike and wont look proportional. I thought the X1's fenders had two equal strips. Anyone have a pic. Matt |

I'd love to see pictures if people have them. I'm considering a custom paint job on one of my bikes and I'd like to see this. |

I thought the X1's fenders had two equal stripes. Red (2000) - yes! Blue (1999) - no! STRIPES! 1313 |
