Howdy: the rear brake master cylinder for my '95 S2 has gone bad; after I changed the brake pads without opening the bleeder, it's pumping air only. Tried everything to get brake pressure back on with a guy who really knows how to do this. Unfortunately, the dealer can't order a new rear brake master cylinder anymore, not even a rebuild kit. I'm dead in the water for several weeks now. Does anybody have a source for one, or has anybody ever converted his bike to another one? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Bernard |

Bernard - I'll check in the shop - might have one left over from the RS conversion I had. gimme a day or so. I'm not sure what the one for the S2's look like - anyone have a photo they could post? Al |

Here's a photo of the rear master cylinder:
I would gladly pay a generous price for one, if that gets me on the road again! Bernard |

Found a similar one - I pm'd you so I can email you the photo. It's to big to attach and I'm too ignorant to figure out how to re-size it with the photo software I have. I'll send it to you and you can see if it works or not - I don't know if it is functional or not, but I think it was OK when it was on the RS I had. Cover shipping and it's yours. What's the center-to-center on the mounting holes? Al (Message edited by leftcoastal on March 03, 2012) |

Hi Al, please e-mail to Bernard@californiaclassix.com Center to center on the two mounting bolts is pretty much 1-3/4 inches. I'll gladly pay you a fair price for the part. I am glad that you are willing to part with it, the least I can offer is to pay for it so that we both feel good about the whole thing. Bernard |
