Hello all, just noticed today (the day I bought my bike and got tags) that the trans vent tube is apparently spurting oil out? (noticed after about a 40 mile ride) It was all over the underside of the seat, on the tire plastic guard, and on the tire and wheel itself. What is going on here? How do I fix this? Please help!?!? Text me if you like...if not please reply. 410-979-1891 |

Most likely, your main oil seal (35151-74A) is bad. Your engine oil is transferring into the primary side and overfilling the primary. It then gets forced out of the transmission breather tube and squirts on your tire. It's a common problem and not too hard to fix yourself. Need special tool to insert the seal because if you seat it too far it will rub against the bearing and wear the new seal out again. Some here have made tool you can search the knowlege vault. There are several other things you can check and do while your in there. Lots of help here. |
