I get it, it looks very much like the RSS folding seat, it does remind me of the Buell design. I'm sure the idea is in the public domain, but it does show a pattern of Erik being an innovator. |

BMW also had something similar on the RC1200, starting in 1998. That would be about 9 years after the RS1200. I just got a magazine in the mail calling the new Kawasaki 650 muffler 'Buell inspired" or words to that effect. So at least they gave credit to Buell. |

I saw one of these seats with a red cover on a red bike in a V2 magazine of some sort, and all I could think of was how Erik thought of it, and should be rewarded for his creativity. |
