I am curious to see if anyone uses their S2 for a track day once in a while. I am tempted by Road America and Autobahn near Chicago. Do these bikes hold up well if ridden hard and maintained well? My bike seems to handle pretty well and won't go too fast to scare the $%#$% out of this old man. Thanks. |

haven't brought the S2 to the track but have run the S1. it is a lot of fun but real work to go fast. maintenance becomes intensive at high rpm for long periods. handling becomes imprecise at a faster pace. with that said, it should be a great introduction to the track! HAVE FUN! tim (i'm 58 and started riding the track at 50 on the S1) |

I've done several track days on my S2T both at Jennings and Little Talladega. It's even been around Road America a time or two. S2's are a lot of fun on shorter more technical tracks. |

I haven't used my S2 for track days but I have used it to rob banks. I did use my X1 for a track day. It rained. Boy did that ever suck. |

I had my S2 at Road America and Grattan MI. As long as you don`t try to make it do stupid things you will get along just fine |

I did the "parade lap" at Homecoming '08. It was fun passing that VRSCR on the outside. And I had a passenger on board. Properly set up, I don't see why you couldn't do a day or two. The only thing that would scare me with repeated track outings on an S2 would be bodywork damage...that stuff is hard to come by. I'd almost run it naked if I was going to do a lot of days - pull the tank cover, the tail section (use a late style seat that attaches to the subframe), and the fairing. If nothing else, you'd get lots of attention! |

I've had my T-Stormed S2 on the track a time or two. Didn't push it as hard as my track prepped S1, but it still got around Mosport in a respectable manner. That wonderfully unflappable Buell chassis really shines in the fast stuff.
