Have a friend thinking about picking up a 1992 RSS 1200 with only 2800 miles on it. Does anyone know what they've been going for, lately? |

Regarding value, probably a lot of $$$$. I don't ever see them advertized. You would be wise to talk with "Rke". His first name is Michael and he lives out on Long Island, NY. |

All of the 441 Buell Motor Company bikes are to various degrees, bikes in the period of their life where peoples attitudes to them are slowly changing.... they are going from "just an old if interesting bike" to a "bloody rare piece of American motorcycling history". When this process is happening the price different people will pay for it depends on their point of view. To some it's just an old bike and worth a grand or less... to others it's a rare classic bike that they know will only become more and more collectable as more and more people cone to appreciate them for what they are. So the answer to your question could be anything, depending on the buyer. Put a good highish price on it and wait for the right person to come along. Just a total guess would be depending on condition and history anything up to 10 grand, TO THE RIGHT PERSON. But much less if they wanted a quick sale. If he could get it for anything under 7 grab it and watch the value go up. Regards Gavin 1990 RS1200 number 059. |

Thanks for the thoughts. Sorry, no pics, yet! Sleez, if the deal doesn't happen, are you ready to add to your stable? |

I would see it anywhere between $6K-$9K these days if it is in original and well kept condition and both parties are motivated. My opinion... I've seen a few change hands and actively participated in some bidding myself. They WILL nothing but appreciate, though. |

. . and my wife still doesn't understand why I wanted a crooked ham-can air cleaner ; ) Sorry, but this is just a beautiful bike, like the RS1200 that made me love Buells! |

I have made a flicker page showing the five Buell Motor Company models.... http://www.flickr.com/photos/59346333@N03/sets/72157627917735127/ Looks like you might have to cut and paste the link.... The 1989/90 RS1200 in blue is my favorite! Regards Gavin (Message edited by agusta74 on January 13, 2012) |

If this is where the line forms...put me on it. Obviously there's value to them HERE! I'm intrigued by the possibility of having one that isn't a project! Mine are all in need of TLC and are awaiting my attention while I ride others. |
