Simply because we are the only ones who need this part. Last weekend I was out riding after dark and suddenly my headlight was pointing straight down. When I got home and took it apart, the plastic insert that holds the adjuster screw was broken. I did a lot of searching and found that a GM adjuster for '77 and up fiberglass buckets is an exact match. All the adjusters at the auto parts stores are for metal buckets and will not work. I found a place online to buy them, but I had to buy a bag of 25. I used two and I am keeping 4 more for the future. So that leaves 19 extra. So I was thinking if anyone wanted some you could send me 5 bucks and I will send you 2 in a padded envelope. Let me know if there is any interest. They cost me almost a buck each with the shipping so I am just covering the cost plus shipping. If you want more than two just figure a buck apiece more. Shane | ||

You should have chosen a different thread title since I would bet the Westwind and Battletwin models also use a fiberglass bucket. I found a barbed substitute at an auto parts store when I swapped my S2's sealed-beam for an H4. It worked OK, even though it wasn't 100% right. If you don't sell them all in the next week, I'll take four. It will help you clear out the extras. I'm sure I'll need them sooner or later. | ||

Greg- I don't own any of those bikes and thus cannot guarantee an exact match. I would guess they are correct, but caveat emptor. I have misremembered my paypal info and need to figure it out, so I will get back to everyone asap. So far 18 of the 19 are spoken for. Here is a photo. On the right is the one i bought at the parts store, it is too small and wimpy, and not enough gag for the fiberglass.
