This board forced me to pick up a twin tail S1 and this seat is doing a number on the family jewels. Has anyone put an early Cyclone seat on one of these or have any recommendations aside from stand on the pegs and quit my whining? |

The corbin for the twin tail is more comfortable for the rider than the single seat corbin (not that one should ever use the word "comfortable" and "S1 seat" in the same sentence), but, it just devastates the looks of the bike. IF I had a twin tail corbin seat, I'd get the pillion part just done gunfighter (not gunfighter-lady) style..Don't think corbin offers it that way, but they'd do it no extra charge. I think it would be a great seat/look. Al |

Thank you for your responses. No welders out there offering up stainless steel athletic supporters? I've been thinking (dangerous stuff) that I should go two different routes. To keep the stock good looks, go with a Propad to flatten out that pointy, upraised section which was designed by the Leather Nun to punish little boys. If Corbin can't or won't make a seat that is flat and wide at the tank, put the stock seat and tail section in mothballs and go with this . I believe that Firemanjim is familiar with this tail section? As to how I like the bike, I love it. It feels like a smooth Triumph Bonneville with much better suspension, brakes and power. edited by SteveFord on July 19, 2004 |

I ain't too sure that an early M2 seat would be much of an improvement (I've very limited seat time on S1s, and run an early M2 seat on the Y2K MaDeuece) . . . . the way I see it, once you're numb, can you get number? (issat the right way to spell it? Nummer? more numbiest?) |

On my S1W, i have both, the solo tail section, and the TwinTail. I find that the stock solo tail is a BUNCH more comfy than the twin tail. If you know of another S1 owner near by, swap bikes and ride the solo seat, and see what i'm talking about. |
