I have an 02 lightning x1 that is running a pegasus seat. When riding the seat basically pushes you into the tank thus crushing your nuts. Are there any seats or mods that can make riding comfortable on these bikes and on my nuts? |

Got a stock lightning that does the same thing, when I'm not accelerating! Josh |

Change your handle bars to some dirt bike bars. They are more upright and work great. I just put some on my 01 X1 yesterday and what a difference they made. I had clip-ons the bike before and talk about nut crunchers. I thought the clip-ons would help when i went to race school and they didn't and were a bad idea. I actually only rode my X1 only like 4 times. |

And I thought the Corbin seat on my X1 was worth every cent. Fixed that forward push issue. |

I'll second the corbin seat. It's a bit weird at first as it is wider than the Buell seat. but once you get past that, the "nut" crushing is over with. I use the stocker for track days and such, it is easier to move around on and well, you're going to be riding the tank at a track anyways. I did a a long day 800+ on the stock seat and then got the corbin, . Huge difference. Since then I've done a couple 1000 mile days and lots of 500+ mile days. Now that my arse isn't numb I can only complain about my throttle hand after 12 hrs in the saddle |

You don't have to search hard to find a ton of very opposite opinions of corbin seats so who knows. I'm in no way affiliated with em but have put em on every bike I've had since '95 w/no complaints-other than the $$$. Been looking for a used one to put on my S3 now but finding none for sale and alot of bad experience threads on here- specific to the S3 corbin. Having had it on my x1, I can say I loved it...wider, longer, and more concave-allowing my arse to scoot back off the tank. Let me know if you decide to part with your stock bars. Would like to put em on my s3 |

@dutch after you mentioned that the carbon fiber comment i decided to check to be sure. When i parked my bike this morning to go to work i parked beside a fellow bueller his carbon fiber edition is indeed engraved on the tank "buell authorized limited edition" and some other stuff lol |

I wouldn't have known this if i didn't spend some time on searching for a carbon fibre edition. Unfortunately i didn't find one. |
