I've learned about the thunderstorm heads that were OEM in '99; were the cams off-the-shelf H-D sportster cams? Just curious, thx everyone |

1999 was the first year for THUNDERSTORM HEADS and your 99M2 has SPORTSTER cams which are very good cams for the RPM range where all the LEGAL SPEED LIMITS are ... |

+1. The Thunderbolt and Lightning used the equivalent of the Andrews N4 cams, while the M2 ran the stock Sporty cams. I have N8s in mine and it moved the torque band up to almost 4000, where the stock M2 cams get working down around 2-2500. No comparison upstairs, though.... |

Would 'stock sportster cams' be equivalent to Andrews N1, N2, N3, anything? Just looking for a point of reference for comparison. |

About the same lift with a little less duration than an Andrews N3 which is the smallest Andrews Sportster cam I could find specs for. |
