my x1 oil level is about an eight of an inch if that on the bottom of the dip stick.. that is the level that it always goes down to hot .. i was wondering if that was to low or not.. i have tried putting a little bit more in and it always ends up the same.. thanks guys. |

OIL SYSTEM Class 101, just PM me for your copy ... When and how are you checking the oil ??? Like at operating temperature ??? On the side stand on level ground ??? |

So that's your bike's happy place. Now mark the dipstick with a file or something of the sort and only worry about it if it starts going below that. |

You read the HAND BOOK ... You get the oil level correct ... Then when you check it on the side stand as you then have a reference from then on !!! CHECKIN OIL AFTER READING THE HAND BOOK Class 101, just PM me for your copy .. (Message edited by buellistic on September 26, 2011) |

PM you for knowledge I should.. hmmmmmm? When manual answers questions not... hmmmm?!? <<in my best Yoda voice. Neil... My x1 at temp, on side stand leaves a drip on the tip of the dip-stick. If I fill it beyond that... my breather filter drips until it reaches that level again. I got sick of cleaning up oil so I stopped over filling it. As Littlebuggles said... Thats my bikes "happy place" or "happy level". |

01x1BUELL, Sent you the Class 101 ... If "i" am not clear enough in my explanations, BY ALL MEANS ASK ME QUESTIONS ??? If something is not clear enough, "i" will rewrite it till "i" get it right and understandable !!! |

ohh no i do understand the whole process it just seamed like that the oil level was to low.... but i guess it is just the level my bike likes. |
