Man!! What a hotly debated thread. Almost as bad as what engine oil to use. OOPS won,t go there.Judging from what you folks have presented here I Will probably use bushings to tighten the clearance with the 7/16" bolt and possibly fabricate one of those struts like those made in Germany. Any body know the dimensions?? |

One has to remember, THE reason for ISOLATOR mounting of the engine was to take away ENGINE VIBRATION !!! IF YOU make the ISOLATOR SYSTEM more RIDGED the ENGINE VIBRATION will be felt more and it becomes just another MILWAUKEE VIBRATOR !!! |

This thread is an excellent example of how we in the Badweb community can share information and come up with creative new solutions. The idea of using a tube to take up the space between the bolt and the sleeve makes perfect sense. Thanks to everyone for contributing to this elegant solution. |

I've been using this billet spacer under the mount for years, with the old non-Buell friendly iso. Vibration is increased slightly, but it did not turn my Buell into a Harley.
Sorry about the bug. BTW, Harley's aren't bad IMO. Having now worked in both Harley and import shops I can appreciate them as a solid choice in that market. The company is a different story... |

Rick as a young pars man and "i" as an old parts man myself, why don't you tell the BUELLers where the FRONT ISOLATOR retro fits from which BIG TWIN PLATE FORMS and the latest H-D part number ??? |

Or, not! Seems we're less information sharing, and more "who's right". I've been reading this because I got new front Iso from American Sport Bike, and gettin ready to put it on (2000 M2.) I bet half of you (approx.) are Republicans, half are Democrat (or 'Other'.) Prolly half like Chevy, half Ford. Half Gillette, half Schick. R + R Customizing sells the Stutze for abouit $90 + shipping. I plan to get one if I ever win my dispute with the IRS. (long story, but worth $3K to me.) |
