Is it possible for better oil cooling to mount a cooler of a XB. If so how where does the pluming go (pic) |

from the link: "Just installed a XB oil cooler on my X1 and purchased an oil filter adapter to feed it." The oil filter adapter spins on where your oil filter goes, and then the oil filter spins on to the adapter. The adapter redirects oil to/from the cooler. |

Or plumb it in between the pump and filter housing like the XB. |

I ended up plumbing mine just like Jramsey did. Made 2 lines, one runs from the oil pump to the cooler, then cooler to oil filer. |

Didn't Buellistic plumb in a second oil filter (and used larger filters)? Seemed like a good idea, both for cleaner oil where it matters, and for extra capacity/extra cooling. I know it's not answering your original question, but it seems related enough, especially on the "where to plumb in" part. |

I live in the People's republic of NJ and found little use for any cooler more effective that the cool collar that drops the temp over 20deg at the filter. Oil that is not hot enough to get the moisture out of the crankcase is not a good thing |
