Ok , my x1 has ran great for me the last couple of years. But all of a sudden
My 3rd to 2nd and 2nd to 1st down shifts have become very very hard. Natural is now
A real pain to find. Never was before. Up shifts still seem ok. Anybody know what's going on?

You need to do a clutch adjustment.

Will take you about 30 minutes start to finish.

Sudden change in clutch like that?
Check your cable where it connects to the lever.
Mine did that and I was down to two strands!

Thanks for the advise guys. I adjusted the clutch about 6k ago, so it’s about time to check anyway I guess . I hope that’s all it is, but I’m worried it’s a lot worse. The clutch still feels fine. Just the right amount of free play. Engages / disengages right where it always has. About 28 k on the bike. Not sure how long these clutches last..

Is it possible your drive belt is too tight?

No, the belts pretty loose. haven't adjusted that for a long time. Hopefully will have time to adjust clutch tomorrow.

Make sure you check drive belt tension when you ARE SITTING ON IT.
