....awhile back on a jaunt my speedo quit working(no needle movement or odo action) the backlight was/is working.So i got the speed sensor and replaced it and now i have mphage and odo function(whoo hoo).No more "estimating" or goin' with the traffic flow(expecially this weekend-Labor Day as the "boys" will be out in force).Be safe this weekend and enjoy.LT

This is a pretty common failure point - mine did it last fall, I'm glad it was an easy fix.

..the way that the harness was "buried" in the "well" area behind and below the starter was cramped and where they put two small zip ties on the harness really complicated getting it "fished" out to unhook it(had to use several long pick tools and side cutters to snip them).Getting the actual speed sensor out was easy.I had to take out the o2 sensor from the Kook's exhaust i have on my bike(gave THAT much more room to remove the battery).

..me thinks that goes beyond train wreck,epic speedo failure/wrong(how about a hot boarding pike to the eyes after that one)...that view is ......
