i have a 2000 x1 with the force pipe and the bracket right after the 45 degree bend where the two pipes become one has broken multiple times. Would just like to know if it has happened to other guys, also wondering if i have the bracket mounted correctly. I've looked on their website and it doesn't show the exhaust on the bike so that's no help. Would really appreciate it if i could get some pics of the bracket mounted, hope you guys can put some up on here for me, thanks.
I will have pics up today if someone doesnt beat me to it. However on mine i dont remember there being a bracket after the bend. i have a bracket on the back about 4 inches from the end of the pipe. but thats just my set up...
My old X1 (now in my brother's possession) has the original 1 piece Force system...the one so prone to cracking. There is not front bracket welded to the pipe, instead it has a rubber insulted strap. I think this has been key to the pipe lasting this long with no cracks. I don't have anu pics, but this video kind shows it...sorry , it's all I've got!
those are prone to breaking there. i had one on a cyclone for awhile. cracked once on me in that same spot and i got a new one from them under a warranty deal, then it cracked again so i got rid of it. sorry no pics though. just a poor design in my opinion. if you like it loud like that try a d&d slip-on, just as loud but solid design.
oh and if any of you force guys need the "quiet" core baffle for it, i have one
This is my M2 with the updated clamp style mount. The olds one did break. I've had the force pipe on my bike for about 15,000 miles, it's over 30,000 now, with mostly no problems. I've had to replace the clamp but I think it's better than a broken pipe.
