Would someone with a '97 S1 measure the distance the forks stick out above the top triple clamp? Thanks in advance. |

OEM, they are flush with the top triple tree, "BUT" if you want to put more weight on the front wheel you can let the top of the fork tube touch the handlebar ... "i" took a top handlebar clamp and had it milled a little and used it as a spacer to raise the handlebar about 3/4 of an inch, then let the fork tubes touch the handlebar which dropped the triple tree about 3/4 of an inch to put a little more weight on the front wheel ... Erik BUELL looked at what "i" did at DAYTONA early on and just smiled as he knew what "i" was doing ... |

Mine are raised 3/4" and had Crossroads bars mounted.I'm installing stock bars that won't fit with the forks raised,so I was interested in the stock fork position. |
