Odd circumstance on my front blinkers. I came home from a trip, and the left front blinker was broken and just hanging. I thought one of the kids or my wife ran into it and broke it off. I was careful to bring it up. Nothing mentioned. So I took one of the blinkers off the other s2 and put on the bike. I rode it and came home the next day and it was broken off at the same place. I am thinking there is some sort of bind in the fairing , bracket and the blinker. vibration breaks the blinkers in half? thoughts? I may have to go to modern blinkers. REX |

My stockers are long gone so, I don't know what they looked like but, are you sure the plastic isn't just degraded and failing? I bought a 1987 Cagiva Elefant where the stalks had degraded so badly that the 'rubber' material they were made from just broke under their own weight. It actually happened in the garage, during a 10 year period where it never even ran. IIRC, those signals looked very similar to the 1980s Yamaha stalks on my Westwind. |

Rex The stems seem to break from age/fatigue... |

I have X1 rear signals on both of our S2's, on the Cyclone as well. Rears because the stalks are shorter. |

I've upgraded my M2 blinkers to the flexible Buell ones that came out a couple of years later. they bend if you run into them. Just trying to keep the S2 stock, but will probably change over and put the remaining blinkers in a box for the future. REX |
