...until you get the stock airbox cover, right cover, on? I've got quite the dilemma right now. I'm trying to ride out to Philly on my '00 X1 Lightning. But I have a slight problem! Me and my son have tried taping to the inside of the air filter, then going as far as thinking of drilling a hole in the center of the air filter, then mounting a long screw to it, then using a piece of bar stock on the backside of the airbox to secure it with. How the heck do you install the stock air filter in the stock airbox without having it walk around by the time you get all three screws in???????????????????? Thanks everyone. Put tape on the backside of the filter, holding it to the backside of the stock air filter ass'y. Helps to read the manual! |

i would give it the reach around and hold it inside the air intake hole with two fingers |

Agree with Nukeblue. give er the ole reacharound and give it a little wiggle as your tightening the screws to make sure its set in the little notches. |
