id like to convert to the later style shifter, i have the 96 s1 shifter on there now, and it has cracked in half (the big lever at the pivot point) looking for a full conversion list, or if anyone has one they wanna sell id be down for that as well! thanks |

if the XB-type shifter is adaptable, blast parts would work as well, since they were about the same IIRC. |

He is talking about the updated tuber shifter that buell released. Kinda looks like a xb shifter |

Xb shifter is a no go on a tuber. I bought an after market shifter because they said it would fit well it doesn't. I gave it to my brother who had an XB and it works on his bike. I wish i could get a better shifter also. But i am just going to get the new bushings from al @ American Sport Bike and rebuild my original shifter. |

http://www.latus-harley-davidson.com/Shifter-Kit.h tm Fits M2 and S3, not X1 due to peg location. The X1 kit might be better suited to the S1. I don't have any way to check. |
