Well, I am back on a proper Buell again after a 9 year absence. I just picked up a 1997 S1 from a buddy and I couldn't be happier. Actually, this S1 is also the last tuber I owned back in 2002. I sold it buy a track bike and after 4 owners and 5K miles(in 9 years, WTF) it has come full circle. I have owned a couple XB's since then, a 1125R, and I even built a cool little bobber outta of a crashed XB that I love but I always missed my old S1. I love this bike.

Black bike? Nothin special, just a Bareknuckle choppers frame special made for the XB engine and components. Fun little bike, cheap, quick, and gets attention everywhere I take her.

good looking man, not into the mini apes, but everything else looks outstanding now for certain people to come in and say how its not rideable since its got no rear suspension etc |

The XB valve covers work well with the rattle-can black of the rest of the bike. I like bikes with no extra B.S. Chrome sucks. |

The wheels, gas tank, oil bag and rear fender are powder coated with Harley Black Pearl powder coat. The headlight bucket, T bars and forwards are powder coated flat black. The 50 dollar Harbor Freight powder coating system and an order placed with Powder by the pound are the best 75 bucks I have ever spent on a motorcycle |
