I would love to know the equation the seller used to figure out the worth of this heap... Old sporty motor with lightning heads $1800 rolling hard tail chassis mayyybe $2000.... and lets charge $4000 for armpit dryers, cheap cycle shack pipes, cheap seat and a peanut tank... Some peoples children eh? |

But why call it a Buell? That's like sticking a Z06 motor in a go-kart and calling it a vette. The motor is important but it doesn't make the bike. I want to put an X1 motor in my sportster but that won't make it a Buell, just a Harley with Horsepower. |

I had a chopper so I appreciate that someone wanted to build something different. There are not shortage of Sportster engines to use instead of butchering a Buell. The relatively low numbers of Tubers that exist should be treated with some reverence. No one would do that to a Vincent |

Im wondering if they are calling it a Buell because of the VIN, its possible they used the Buell vin to register it and thats why they now call it that. Thats the only thing I can figure |

Matt Hotche built the black one and was inspired by a Vincent. He said that he wouldn't dare do that to a real one. he spent $100,000 to have the motor built alone. it was his tribute to a classic. |

OMG. I stand corrected. The 2nd one is however a work of art despite the choice of donor bike |

he spent $100,000 to have the motor built alone." Holy crap, I cant imagine spending that much money on a motor and not really doing anything with it/not riding it. But hell, I'll likely never pay even half that for a bike WITH motor. |

Not diggin on the X1 linked above either. That headlight makes the front end look HUGE. I think even Tool1 would agree with that. The second chopper is amazing, glad it didn't use a Vincent motor, but the cost, wow!!! |

for the most part i like all bikes. i just don't like it when a perfectly good bike is chopped up into a shadow of its former glory. if you want to build a chopper/ custom buell do it to one that is already met its maker. my S1W was wrecked badly twice by its former owner. my original plan was take the motor and build a nice bobber. but once i had it at home and took a good look i discover most of the damage was cosmetic. so i brought it back from the grave and i haven't regretted it for a second. a good ol tuber is just to good to let die. |

The 'kustom Buell' wouldn't be so bad if it had a fat front tire/wheel, and lose the dopey handlebars. Matt Hotch has really come up in the world, he started as a near penniless LA teen building bikes, and now spends $100,000 on a motor? "Hot Match" indeed. |
