Have a chance to purchase a K&N Power kit for my Buell S3 for cheap at a local auto parts clearance rack that includes an Air Filter and "Carburetor recalibration kit" .(Is this a set of jets?) Anyone running this kit and if so are you happy? Is this just a K&N filter element (soak with oil type) that sits in the stock airbox and is less restrictive, so you need to re-jet? |

There was a kit that included a plastic velocity ring along with the stock replacement filter that you could get at the dealership. I have no idea whet the "recalibration kit" is though. |

Buying a CAB. KIT will only make a little difference ... You can make a BIGGER difference by PRODUCT IMPROVING the OEM CARB. ... ie: RADIUS the slide, remove accelerator pump and JB Weld up the holes, correct jetting, removing the idle mixture cap so you can adjust the idle mixture screw ... Your CARB. already has the best fixed needle !!! Other IMPORTANT THINGS in "IN TUNING" is getting your timing correct and correctly adjusting the DRIVE BELT/PIMARY CHAIN as the items cause a lost of HP if not correct !!! Help "INFO", just PM me ... |
