I've only had Metzler M3's on my 02 M2L - never ran anything else but don't have any complaints about them. |

I've been running the Michelin Pilot Powers for about 400 miles now on my M2L. They seem to handle great so far! In the past, I've run the stock Dunlops and Continental Road Attacks, but so far these seem to handle best. |

this from user Jim2 - worked for me - thanks again Jim2 "To jack bike up take bolts out of passenger pegs and flip the pegs upside down. Now use a hydrolic floor jack or bottle jack and place under rear shock mount point. With capable helper holding bike straight up and down, jack up and then place jack stands under the flipped pegs. This provides a nice level and stable platform." |

Mark - I use the flipped passenger peg method to put the rear end of the bike up on two jack stands (one on each side - of course). To get the front end of the bike up, I mounted a u-bolt over a roof truss (2x4) in the ceiling of the garage. Then bolted a short length of chain down from the u-bolt. When I need to lift the front, I pass a webbing strap under the frame just behind the forks and use a come-a-long to ratchet the bike up while the rear pegs are on the jack stands. Gets both wheels off the ground at the same time for tire changes. |

These are awesome stands for the cost..you can get an adapter for the front forks for around 10 bucks.. I've got two which makes it nice to get the bike off the ground. http://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result? q=swingarm+stand |

The rear of the bike can be supported at the pegs, jack stand at the right, screw jack at the left. |
